2026 Orange Bike Ride - Dutch Week, Waikato
Dress up and decorate your bike to join us in celebrating Dutch Week with our Orange Bike Ride (3 rides). A family fun day at Zenders.
Get ready to dress up and stand out! We know you love a good costume, so go all out in ORANGE, the national colour of the Netherlands, and decorate your bike to match.
This free event, hosted in the Waikato by Zenders Café and Venue, and supported by the Netherlands Embassy in New Zealand, is a fun-filled day perfect for all ages. Starting and finishing at Zenders Café and Venue, you can choose from a short, medium, or long ride: 5 km, 15 km, or 55 km.
Make a day of it at Zenders. The cafe will be open from 8am for breakfast, with great coffee and dutch treats available throughout the day. From 9am onwards, the willow lawn will come alive with a bouncy castle and family-friendly activities.
Registrations and check-in begin at 8am, and there’s no official start time—simply set off whenever you’re ready.
There’ll be spot prizes during check-in, and our friends from Bike Waikato will be on hand to offer free bike safety checks before you ride.
Don’t forget, prizes will be awarded for the best dressed participants and best decorated bikes! Winners will be announced at the end of the day and contacted via email.
